Making chicken salad out of chicken shizzz
New project ... as bought & how it sits now

Blazer will be an organ donor, but in the mean time it's still playing wrecker for neighbors & being a refuge from the craziness of life.

It's what poor folks have to do- LOL!
I know what's under the Blazer now, less than 5k miles since everything new; cannot afford to start over having to find & build all that good stuff again. Plus the price of even stock, complete '72 pickups has gotten ridiculous ... I would spend all money, plus some, from selling Blazer just to buy descent truck & then have nothing ($ or good parts) to work with. So way $ ahead with this truck body/frame that is straight & little rust, then transferring all my parts to it and selling the leftover Blazer tub, cage, soft top, etc.

Good project plan.  I'd be more impressed if there was a tree growing out of it.  LOL
I'm surprised to hear that you are tearing down the Blazer, but if anyone understands dismantling a perfectly good truck to build another, it's me.  You know what you've got, and what you want it to be.  Sometimes in life you have to roll up your sleeves and build what you REALLY want.
I'll be following this build.  Popcom

Well if you'll give me $35-40k for the Blazer then I can use it to buy a truck already done, or at least close to what we'll build Wink
But you better come with cash before this Saturday because the front cap is already off & choppage about to begin - LOL!

As much as I like your Blazer, I wish I could, but given the 2 non-running (1 probably could run with a little work) Nissan Patrols at my house, I better not. I just hate to see it go away, but I like the old late 60s/early 70s Chevy and GMC trucks also.

Yes, lots of progress:
- Truck cab & backside of all body pieces blasted & in epoxy primer just waiting to set back frame eventually.
- Whole front frame section off Blazer & married to truck frame - this took lots of time measuring with tape & laser to get everything just right.
- New trans/xfer mount made - old 1 in Blazer never was satisfied with.
- Rearend & suspension out of Blazer & mocked up to truck frame.  So all the main stuff is off Blazer now, it looks sad, still have some wiring & the hydroboost stuff to remove.
