Refurbishing an old trailer......
Thanks, Mark.

Does anyone know any tricks to get rid of sqeaks in a new suspension? I took if for a test roll Saturday evening and man do people know I'm coming if the road is a little rough. I suppose I could try to separate the suspension parts enough to slip some wax paper between them. Don't know. What have you done?

Looking good, Randy. Is it the eyes of the springs squeaking, or the leafs rubbing together?

I don't know where it's coming from. I tried to get TotallyRotten to ride on it while going through some of the neighborhoods, but she fell short of the commitment. My lunette ring is supposed to come in this week, so the tongue will be shorted a great deal. I'm planning on cutting off all but about 3" of the round pipe on the front, so the tongue should be about 30" long. That should give me plenty of room for tight turns.

Randy, I have never tried it, but I have heard you can put a penny between the leafs, and it will eliminate any squeeks from the leafs rubbing.

Thanks. I'm open for any suggestions.. Now, can I borrow 20 cents and in pennies? Laughing

Just watch, I'll do that and one will come out on the road, fly up into some guy's windshield, make him wreck and kill his whole family!

I jacked it up, spead the leaves, and put a shot of white lithium grease between them. I test drove and still had the squeak. Got back to the house, stood back behind and shook it good and found the two little spots causing all of the squeaking. A couple of shots of grease there and NO MORE SQUEAKS! Thanks guys.

My lunette ring will be in Thursday, and hopfully, I'll be getting that tongue shortened and the ring welded on. One step closer to completion.

I got some more done on the trailer and although I'm not completely done, I have gotten it closer to completion.

I got the tongue shortened and the lunette ring installed, along with the corner braces for the side walls. Thanks to "B3Concepts".
I also got the sidewalls on, along with the tube fenders. Thanks to "White Rhino Fabrication".
I also painted the outside of the wagon with a light coat of black enamel to keep the wood grain visible. I'm thinking about lining the bed of it with brush on bed liner.

I'm getting some LED tail lights, probably this afternoon for a quick install.
I'll also need to get a tail gate fabbed for holding in things that want to roll around inside.
And of course, the Jeep name on the back bumper.

Did I see you in the above rig on the Natchez Trace about 6:30 this morning?

Looks good by the way...
