Service Park Campground (again)
I had vacation days to burn, so Wendy and I are at Service Park Campground on the Tombigbee River near Coffeeville.
@MarkyB [Veteran Member] and his family met up with me here once before and I really enjoyed this clean, quiet COE campground.
I haven't been here on a weekend yet, but it's a relaxing place with friendly hosts.
We saw and heard an eagle out over the river, but couldn't get a good photo yet.  Too far away.
There are usually barges going by, but we were told that the lock at Demopolis is broken, so barge traffic is stalled until that is repaired.

It turns out that they DO have hiking trails at Service.  We did not check them out, but what I saw from the road looked maintained, and the host made a point of pointing out the fact that they have trails.
I am attaching a PDF version of the map, below.

Looks like a super nice campground. My crew has obviously gotten too accustomed to full hookups but i may have to talk them into this one over a weekend.

Just use your holding tanks and visit the dump station on the way out.

My crew makes it about 48 hours before the tanks are completely full.

Time for some economy training.  I went through that training as a kid.  Smile
