Good Friday off

My employer now gives us the day off on Good Friday, so I am thinking of taking the camper to someplace local, such as Big 10.
Wendy mentioned Pensacola, for some reason.  I'll have to quiz her on what she liked about that place.  Maybe a future trip there.

I was thinking of camping Thursday night, arriving after work.  Stay Thursday and Friday nights and leave at check-out time on Saturday because I am on staff at my church on Sunday mornings, and I really enjoy doing that.

What are you guys up to?  Maybe we can hit a different campground if preferred?  I just don't want to waste an opportunity to get away for a couple of days.

Won’t be able to make that, but after next week I will know if I can do something Memorial Day weekend.

I went ahead and reserved Thurs 28th - Sat 30th for Wendy and I. (2 nights, water and electric.) Site 23 in the old section by the bath house.
I was surprised at the cost. $71 and change after my senior discount, which I think is $3 per night. So that comes out to $35/night, or $38/night for young folks. Campground prices are getting steep for no more than they offer.
Private campgrounds often have a store and a lounge area. Even a game room. Big 10 doesn't have any of that.

I chose Big 10 because it's close in case Wendy wants to wimp out. If she does well on this trip, I will start booking COE campgrounds for us.

Wendy and I are enjoying this much-needed getaway. The weather is great. 70 during the day. 40 at night, but nothing the furnace can't easily handle.
