Boat has been de-oxidized,polished,and waxed.

If we ever get a good weather day, we’ll look fabulous.

Performance update:

Before reeds and stuffers the boat ran 43 mph top speed at 5200 RPM. The ideal range you want is 5500-5800. (For this model engine.)

Ram the boat yesterday and the boat now hits 5800 RPM at 48 mph.

It jumps up on plane even with the motor trimmed up in running position.

I’m extremely happy with the E-TEC’s performance! It feels so much stronger than the Yamaha four stroke.
I may not even bother with the 250 hp reprogram.

Next boat mod:

Noco genius battery maintainer. With repair mode.

The boat batteries were left on at some point of the winter were discharged to 0v. I know…. Bad.

Now they are not holding a charge. I hope that the repair mode can salvage them.

This will be permanently installed in the boat with a plug so all I have to do is plug the boat in and battery maintenance is done.

RE: Boat re-power project
Please let us know it it brings them back. That alone would be worth the price of admission.

The one on the right revived to 12.5 volts.
The left one would not hold more than 10.5 volts.
Replacing the left one and we’ll see how the right one holds up.
