In what?

Yep. You definitely want it up in the air if at all possible. This job had me thinking about a lift again.

RE: Another Silverado
I got the greyeen truck back together this weekend. (Yayy!) Had to dive back under a couple of times to plug in some connectors that I previously forgot, but all is well, now.

When I first started it, it made a horrible whirring noise like a dry power steering pump. It quieted down pretty quickly, but did not go away.
It turned out to be the fan hitting the bottom of the fan shroud. At first it made no sense, since I was not working near the shroud, but then it dawned on me what had happened.
The new transmission mount, along with the old engine mounts, racked the assembly forward. The fan is now at the bottom of the shroud because of it.

I bumped the shroud down as much as I could, and let it self-clearance the last little bit. New engine mounts are on order.

I enjoyed the nice weather on Sunday by installing a double Din Android 10 head unit in the dash. Now I have navigation and a monitor for the (soon to be installed) rear view cam and the camper-mounted rear view cam.
I should be able to split-screen to have the camper cam and nave as the same time. Nice and tidy that way. The FM has multiple devices and screens.

Road trip to Tennessee to haul a pop-up camper (project) to a friend.
The truck barely knew it was back there. It is a joy to drive.
Wendy and I are enjoying this rare getaway.

Yes sir!  Maybe next time we go camping (hopefully soon) I can get them from you?
Mine are OK, but they are aftermarket and don't fit all that great.  Plus, you never know when a deer will ruin your day.

Alrighty then, into the storage pile they go.
We’ve put our house up for sale and I’m cleaning up 10 years of accumulated stuff.

Oh. It's been a while since you've moved. You're about due. Where to this time?

Not leaving the area, (Mobile County) just fleeing suburbia.  We're looking for some land further out of town.

Actually, we have something kinda radical in mind...

Interesting. Would that be your primary domicile?
