RE: 3B Project
All that WWII gold....

We're in like sin! Courtesy of my technical advisor, I only tacked them in place. I measured here and there a few hundred times, stared, adjusted this and that and after many hours of fiddling my thumbs tacked it in place. Adjustments can be made accordingly when I have a tub and such on the frame.

Here are the top plates. I didn't doll them up or anything yet but that's about what they're going to look like. So I made a mistake and will pay for it in welding rods and material; The square tube was 2x3 and the spring eyes are roughly 3" wide so I am going to cut off the "wings" on the spring mount plate and try to tie the other end of the spring mount to the frame (box it in).

RE: 3B Project
Found these in the parts stash.

Should work for my next suspension move.

The rear are taller than I expected so I'll probably be making new ones.

Here's a shot of the front shackles. They're just sitting up there right now. The ones on the outside of the frame rail will sit close to flush with the frame when bolted up.

Ignore the "welds". I've been having some trouble welding horizontal and vertical. Sad Push comes to shove I'll buy a mig welder and shielding gas.
I'll be surprised if the rear holds together.

I've had a few thoughts about how to make these perches work. Grind down the right side of the perch until it's level came to mind. Anyhow there's a long list of things to do but I have to get it out of the garage.

RE: 3B Project
either grind that side down to fit the housing better r cut that side off flush with the top and move it over 1/2" and weld it back on so that it sits on the tube. similar to these https://bumpersuperstore.com/images/F63274663.jpg

RE: 3B Project
Finally picked my d25, d44, roll bar, and a fresh t90/d18 (that I hope not to use).
Now I can start on the cage
Interesting "farm" patch.

Lol. Over/under leaf packs and a coilover. Not to mention the top leaf pack is welded onto the axle. Nice.
