Front bumper build
Not sure where to post this question but I was looking to borrow a busted winch so I can mock up my front bumper and make sure I have plenty of room to put in a 10,000 lb winch later on. I got my steel plate ordered should be here in a few weeks. I'm using a 3/16 thick plate gonna bend and weld me a new off road bumper and front skid this summer. Thanks for any help or if you have any ideas let me know.

RE: Front bumper build
I’m pretty sure all winches use only two different hole patterns for mounting . Just look up the dimensions for the winch your going to get to make sure it will fit

I'm with Greg. I think you can google the manuals for any winch out there. That would give you all of the dimensions, usually.

Front bumper build
Finally got to start my bumper on Tuesday! What y'all think so far? The help of my wife's uncle and his metal shop made things go a lot smoother than I could have hoped for. Got both the front and rear bumpers cut bent welded and pre fitted in one day. Hope to have then on this Monday![Image: ce9d8c8eea526592792f4a256c15659f.jpg][Image: 5313446f0dbf6c217f9824525d47ee67.jpg][Image: ec3c67c52151f59e1d0fab9b8fa50986.jpg][Image: f67d2887ff71f65c72021d267c1c40b5.jpg][Image: 4f636c720167741a418fe56bd40cf8ac.jpg][Image: 1363c30f02c4fa28599bc0c98bcceeab.jpg][Image: c0257aefa680e8160a79b7048a8ee23c.jpg]

I don't know if that was final fitment of the front bumper but it looks like its almost touching the grill.

You want to leave a good 3/8"- 1/2" crack. The body is on rubber bushings a will move that much when you start flexing it out

besides that it looks good and heavy. You still going to put a winch in it?

That was just a test fit had to trim a bit off the left side. I was given a badlands 12000 lb winch by my friends dad. Has one on his work truck and has been a great winch. So I'll put it on till I kill it then buy me a warn 12000 lb

Just about done with the front bumper. I'll need to take it off one or two more times for paint but got it fitted to where I like it. A few,of the rough edges show at low angles but not too bad for my first diy bumper considering I built it from a picture off my phone I think. Hope y'all like it. A few more pic of it and the winch mounted in the bumper.
