New camp shower, boys and girls!

New camp shower, boys and girls!
I decided to streamline the camp shower system.
The Cabela's shower enclosure that we currently use is bulky, complicated, and requires heavy shower bags to be hung overhead.

Once in the shower, you basically have to kneel to get far enough below it to operate it.

What I WANT is a system that leaves the water container on the ground. I want good control over water flow. I want a small, light weight enclosure like what i use for the out house.
I also want a dry-ish floor afterward while drying off and dressing.

Phase one is here. A 12v hand held shower system. Simply drop the pump in a container, plug it into a lighter socket, and switch it on. The shower head has a sliding flow control. It looks really good in videos, and gets good reviews.

I already have the ideal container that we can keep pouring water into.
Want hot water? Heat some on the stove, and pour it in.

I've already got another enclosure ordered.

I'm going to make a roll-up bamboo mat to keep us out of the puddles on the floor so we can dry off and dress more easily.

I'm looking forward to a nice shower at the next Laurel Expedition. :-)[Image: bb2c0759f2dbf3142c5ae41a9c5bce30.jpg]

I'll have to measure it. But in the meantime, here's one for sixteen bucks. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Excellent-12V-Hi...2583707311

Because I have onboard air I think I prefer using a 5 gal jerry can pressurized with air. Cheap, easy and simple.

Cheap if you already have OBA. Wink
I have dual batteries, so I won't have to worry about running one down as a dozen happy campers take their evening shower. Anyone can add water to the jug and switch it on. I think it's going to be a better solution for the groups that I typically host.

As cheap as these are, I might buy an extra and put in on the shelf.

a guy i know here in CO rigged up a heat exchanger on his rig so he can take a hot shower. basically it uses the vehicles coolant to heat water for the shower. neat idea but probably not needed in MS especially in the summer
