Emergency vehicle provisions
So i have a thread going about bags for humans and i also use tool bags in my trucks so i thought we might share what we carry in our vehicles.
The military calls the main stuff for a vehicle BII (basic issue items) so i try to have at least the BII for each truck, this is the list I like.
Jack
Manual lug wrench
Electric or air impact gun
Jumper cables
Reflective triangles
Complete socket set
Complete combination wrench set
Adjustable wrenchs 6",10", and or 12"
Vise-grip pliers regular and needle nosed
Welding rods in holder case
Electrical repair kit
Electrical tape
Duck tape the gorilla glue type
Coat hanger
Hammer ball peen and shop maul
Fuse kit
Moving blanket
Ratchet straps
Grime boss hand cleaner wipes
Tow strap, i want snatch staps
Rtv right stuff
Led drop light
Flash light
Pioneer tools as the military calls them
Shovel
Axe
Maddox or grubbing hoe as they are known by around here
I really want a smaxe
And I liked the folding rake from the chilling out ride.
All of my trucks have 2 batteries minimum because they are diesel or 24v
All have full size spare tire and or run flats good for 50 miles
All have 5 gallon cans of fuel and water
All have 4 shackles
I am going to be adding to the above list as i steal ideas from you guys.

Emergency vehicle provisions
@ Csm Davis,
My poor Yoder wouldn't haul all that.
@ Res,
Tire plug kit and a hammock are genius.
@ Zach,
Top of the list would be mine, too.
My daily tote box consists of just a few items.
Strap
Jumper cables
2 Flashlights
Moving blankets (pillow and cover)
2 qts of motor oil
Fuse kit of small and large
Power inverter
Paracord
Larger rope
Bungee cords
Electrical tape
Ratchet straps
Box of .45
Box of .40
Then in the bed rolling around.
High lift jack
Homemade walking stick
Old spinning chain from a drilling rig
One of those ratchet pole things to keep boxes from sliding about.
Regular receiver hitch
3 way receiver hitch

RE: Emergency vehicle provisions
What I currently have in the YJ
knives
2 ton floor jack
bottle jack
socket set
strap
blanket
coat
rtv
hose and clamps
serpentine belt
electrical tape
screw drivers
flash light
AA batteries
I used to carry more stuff but I don't have a tool box in the Jeep and would hate to have someone bust out a window and steal everything.

I've got the 5/16". I put a hook on one end. But it'll fit and snake through tight spots where most recovery gear won't.

YouTube it and see.

I plan on it. Everything is in a large tote except the hi lift and stick.

RE: Emergency vehicle provisions
My point would be that chain is potentially dangerous for recovery use. I've witnessed some near misses, sheared bolts, snapped hooks, and bent crossmembers.
