how much lift to clear 35"tires?
ive got a 2009 chevy z71 that i wanna put 35" tires on. how much of a lift do i need?

Most places will say 6". I put a 3" lift and done some trimming made made it work on a 95 Z71 with 35x12.50

I have a 14 so there is a body style change but I have 34.5's with a 2 inch leveling kit up front.

If it's not too much trouble, could you post a pic? I may get the 275/70/18 trail grapplers. I changed my mind about 35" when I remembered that they are heavy af and expensive.

I would be happy to but its at the dealership with the motor in 10,000 pieces. At 103,000 miles a lifter took a poop. I may be about to ditch GM and become a ford man for the first time in my life.

My 2000 Silverado Z71 had zero lift and no trimming, and it cleared P305/80R16 (34")

Generally speaking, for 35-inch tires not to rub you'll need a suspension lift kit. You can put on 6-7.5" lift depending on backspacing. Doing some trimming is also an option to clear 35's.
