Electrolysis Rust Removal Setup
Finally here is my electrolysis setup,,,

I use old lawn mower blades as my anode

And the cathode is what you are de rusting

I bought this large tub at walmart for 10 or so bucks but there are alot better tanks for this than that.

I used baking soda and cheap powder washing detergent and they both work great. You don't have to use much to make it work but I always put in 1/4 of the box and checked it everyday to see how it was doing.

That's about it. Cheap, easy, and clean. Don't worry about electrocuting yourself; unless you drop your battery charger in the tub somehow.

****DO NOT USE STAINLESS STEEL AS YOUR ANODE****

Crazy, always seems like it would make me nervous, I hate electricity. So do you always use the same blade and then just wipe the rust off?

RE: 81 CJ5 Repair
Mike I have about 25 or so blades in the backyard hanging up so I just use it till it's no good and keep going. It helps if it isn't completely rusted up that way you can make good contact. If it is just clean off where you hook up your positive lead. Also after a day or two check and see if your anode is really dirty and if it is it means it is working and just wipe it off. Your anode will be consumed during this process over time as well.

I do like the results, could you use a cheap old charger, like one from HF?

Yep any charger'll do. I got an old craftsman charger and it works fine.
