RE: knives?
Ordered two Victorinox 'Swiss Army' knives today. A lock-blade, a black Tinkerer, and a couple spare toothpicks and tweezers.

RE: knives?
I don't even know where to start. I do about an hour or so of knife research everyday. Nerd sadly, I could never afford an edge-keeping spyderco, a durable benchmade, or an all-coveted Microtech. All, I've ever bought were cheapo's with no name. My mom bought me a no-name assisted which has absolutely no blade play at all since Christmas. It's my main EDC knife, so I'd rather it be tip-up carry, but for $20, I'm satisfied. If anybody has a high quality knife that gets no use, I might be interested in buying it. But for now, I'll stick to cheapo's and Cold steel. 2cents

RE: knives?
I finally got the pocket knife I wanted.

It's a kershaw leek with a composite blade. It has two pieces of stainless steel. The blade side is cpm-d2 which to my understanding is made to hold an edge very well. The back side is 1660cb which is extra hard to hold up to impacts, such as if you wanted to hit something with the back of the knife. It has kershaw's speed safe open. My dad calls it switch blade open Dodgy. The lock is a frame lock and it also has a slide lock to hold it closed so it doesn't open in your pocket. The clip is removable and can be positioned for tip up or tip down carry. I'm pretty excited to have this knife now Hyper

^^^That's nice. I've heard good things about those. $$$, too. But worth it.

Re: knives?
I carry a husky utility knife usually, unless its deer season. Then I carry my Gerber folding with gut hook

What exactly is it, and what do you like about it that makes it your favorite?

It's a Benchmade Osborn 940. The shape of the blade is perfect for strength and it holds an edge. I can operate it faster than a switch blade. It is light and just the right size for me.

My other favorite is a Case XX peanut. That pattern is a good small size.
