a waggy 44? thats the route i would go and run leafs. leafs are simpler and cheaper and a well setup pack will perform as well or better than stock ford radius arms. you will lose the high pinion though. but its not much of a strength difference since you will break outer shafts and u-joints before ring gear strength will be an issue

For most a disco axle is junk.... but for the industrious.... good cheap parts can be found.

But they're the last parts you'll ever buy for that axle...nothing beats lifetime you break it we replace it warranty. Makes the price all worth it.

i believe the vac. disco axles were only used in 83-84 or 85

Thanks. Sounds like if I look up parts for an '83 I should be good. Rotors, seals, bearings, etc.
