starter problem

my ranger was dead today so i was going to jump it off when i touched the cable to the battery it started turning over the key was off i replaced the solenoid the ignition switch and key lock cylinder and its still doing it any ideas guys

It is demon-posessed.

It has to be something to do with the solonoid on the starter, or the trigger wire.
Wait; it's a Ford. Does it have a traditional ford starter relay on the fender?

yea its on the fender

Disconnect the little wire and see if it still does itl I fit does, the relay is stuck. If the little wire is doing it, trace the short.

was it doing this before you changed the ignition and key switches?
