ok guys i found a new problem walked to the passenger side of the truck while running and it sounded like a 2 cyl deisel so i started looking at the manifold for cracks and low and behold there it was just as plain as day also had a little oil around the valve cover dont know if the gasket was pinched or what so now i wonder if this aint the root of my problem if any one can verify i would be very thankfull

Is the valve cover sucking air?
Also, have you checked the intake manifold for leaks with the starting fluid?

I wouldnt use starting fluid, carb cleaner works just as well and is no where near as combustible

will do ordered a header will be here thursday that will take care of that going to go ahead and install the new coil and then check for vaccum leaks today and see what i can find out

But starting fluid might find leaking plug wires, too. Blowup

ill use the starting fluid idea if it doesnt straiten up and then ill use 601cherokees radiator cap solution
