A New project!
Well Im putting the heavy Chevy SAS on the back burner!
I bought a 1980 Bronco with a 302 that has jumped time today.
Im taking the trans/transfercase front and rearend and converting my
1984 Ford F-150 to a FourBy!
My grandpa gave me the truck about a year ago. A tree fell on it in Katrina and i fixed the cab sorta and started driving it.
Then the trans went out!

But soon it will be back on the road (Im very Very VERY excited!)

I already have 27-9.50-15 TSL Radials on it and i want it to stay low and slow!
So i doubt i lift it any.
Just a good truck to pull the boat or go down to the river.

Then when its done ill Be back on the straight axle on my chevy.

Ill post pics as i get my hands on a camera and as i get it done!
It should be a fast pretty easy swap!

RE: A New project!
why not just pull the motor out of your 84 and put it in the bronco. I dont think swapping in a TTB front end is going to be as easy as you think, just my opinion. If you need any help call me

It wont be as easy as Straight axleing or putting a heatercore in a ranger but i think we can get it done pretty fast!

RE: A New project!
Got some good progress done this weekend!

I got the bronco tore all apart and hauled the body off for parts money.

The Good news.
The bronco had a C6 trans
the trans and t-case seem to be in good shape.
The ttb chunk seems to be in very good shape also.

The bad news.
The 9inch is in pretty bad shape. It needs bearings and brakes.
The ttb needs front axlebushings and radius arm bushings.
The exhaust will have to be modifed.

The progress on the f-150
Got the trans out and thats it.

What ive got left.
Hang the trans-t-case.
Modify the trans crossmember.
Modify the exhaust.
Put the bearings in the 9inch and hang it.
Install the bushings in the ttb and hang it under the truck.
Get the drive shafts fixed.
Install new u-joints.

AND DRIVE IT!

No Camera so no pics really wish i did.
it was quite a site taking the body, trans and motor out with a forklift!
Then lifting the frame off of the front and rearend.
Fork lifts make awesome motorcranes come to find out.
I hope to get my hands on a camera soon but i cant say i will.
