Where the Nissans at?
I run 33s on my 86.5 HB with a four banger and stock ratio of 4.375. It works fine in south Mississippi because it is not hilly here. If I lived in the hills or mountains, I would gear down. Shoot, if I could AFFORD it I would have geared down when I rebuilt my third member.

That is very much understood Res. I agree on the "if I could afford it" issue... And, yes, Mallcrawler I can see that I have come to an awesome place and met up with some good folks. I am happy to have met your acquaintences.

I must say it is a completely different vehicle than all of the other 4 wheel drives I've owned. So far I have owned 2 Chevy's, 3 Fords, 1 Jeep, 1 ScoutII, and 1 Toyota... but this is my first "rodeo" with a Nissan. I am thoroughly enjoying it so far and can't wait to get her out on the trails.

Yes, my 87 is a carber engine. I am listening to all of this great advice and checking into each different avenue, and choosing my "path" (pun intended) wisely I hope. At this point I must say that I am blessed to have a pathy that runs at all, since it sat for so long a time.

Is your 95 a stick or an auto Mallcrawler?

I will post more tomorrow. Have a great night. And thanks again guys.

That is reassuring to know guys. I was concerned that running 33's when I get done lifting it would compromise my crawling ability.

Kind of off the subject, I took our daughters out in the woods today to find a Christmas tree. All three of them had a great time. We had a great time, it was a good excuse to do some Sunday afternoon wheeling.

I haven't done much offroading with our kids the last few years so it was alot of fun to go flex the Suburban out crawling up a couple of fallen logs. The girls all freaked out for a second or so.. it was hilarious. They took two pics of it for me, I will have to retrieve them off of our oldest girls cell phone and post them soon. It may not be a Nissan, but I thoughly enjoy offroading in it. I don't ever get too wild in it though as it is my daily driver.

Anyway, thanks guys. I am going to continue to look into some ways to customize this 87 Pathy..... I am going to have to buy a book for it soon, as I don't have any idea where all of the wires and hoses go to since the mice chewed them up....... ahhhhhh. STRESS.... lol.

Hey Branman, when are you gonna have some 4" lift coils for sale. And how much are you gonna want for them? I really need to look into getting this all together in the next month or so. Just let me know, if they are a route I can go with, I would be happy to consider it.

Yeah Mdog, it is a 4X4 custom conversion Suburban. It was actually built up in Canada, and it has a factory "silver" aluminum intake and no smog or air pump on it factory. Its a standard 350 FI but with those mods and a few others from the factory. I greatly enjoy owning that truck, and it rocks offroad too. It is a bit huge and long wheelbased, but it does get some serious traction, and believe it or not, it flexes really well for its size. Smile

Branman, I was referring to the video where the Bronco II was flexing out crawling up the hill. It was a great video. I used to own one of those little Bronco II s.... It was a great little 4X4. It would do about anything ever asked of it. I used to run it up the sand dunes on the east coast.
