There’s a proposal to shut down a large majority of Moab trails to off-road use. There’s more info here and where we can send in comment. Public comment period is until Oct 7.
I had a huge hole in my boat tarp where my tub-o-lard cat would land after jumping up from the hood of my old tractor. The torn edges were flapping in the breeze like flags at a used car lot.
The tarp was otherwise in good condition.
I bought a small tarp for patch material and a small can of vinyl glue and then waited for a break in the rain. (Over a week now.)
I tied and tucked the patch on the inside and glued the edges. You apply this glue to both surfaces and let it dry before sticking it together. Not easy to do overhead.
With the patch secured, I moved to the top side and glued the flaps to the patch.
It's not pretty, but I should get a few more months at least.
The FM winched out motorhome #2. (Already got this t-shirt.) This time it was my two sons who made it happen while I was at work.
This was a 40' tandem axle diesel pusher. They used the snatch block on the motorhome and anchored back to two full size pickups on the pavement.
Proud of my boys. It's nice to know that they WERE paying attention on our off-road adventures.
