Does anybody know where I can find information on building a roll cage for the lead sled??? Wanna try this one myself before I let someone else have a go at it. Bulb
do you have a tube bender and a good welder? those 2 items alone will cost more than a cage done by a shop. look around at pirate4x4.com there is alot of good tech info on that site. there is also alot of jackass webwheelers there too so take everything with a grain of salt. you can also contact chris@whiterhino on this forum as he does that for a living.
Forget the roll cage, Did you get the tcase fixed?
Please forgive me as I haven't met you yet but do you really do any wheeling that would cause you to need a roll cage? If so, go right ahead. I'm all about the do it your selfer. Thats how I started. You will need a tube bender, some way to notch the tube and a welder. I'm assuming you know how to weld. There are also a few free tube notching programs where you print out the notch and cut it out then tape it to the tube so you can trace it. I can find that link if you like. Another thing you need to watch out for is spring back of the tube, HREW is normally in the 4 to 6 degrees range and DOM is in the 3 to 5 range. There is much more so as you have questions just post them here and I'll help you out or you can even call me if you need it "right now"

Haven't got the transfer case done yet but have that under way trying to figure out exactly what transfer case I have and get the part and try to tackle that myself as well. As far as the roll cage goes have the welder but, gonna have to invest in a bender but that shouldn't be to big of a problem just might take a lil time.

thanx for the help....if i don't give ya a call here is my number 251-581-1102 I am off fri-sun righnow
No offense but your asking for help, you should call him. He shouldn't have to call you.
Redneckms23 is right, Its almost always cheaper to get someone like Chris to build a cage for you. If you have to buy benders notchers and learn how to bend, it can be pricy. There are exceptions, some on here just have the nack for fabing and make it look easier than it really is. I am all about doing your on work, go for it.
yeah and a roll cage isn't somethin that you want done half arsed either.
