Doesn't matter if you willingly participate. Your phone, and others' around you, hear your conversations and know who you are in close proximity with.
I recall one conversation with a co-worker about an obscure celebrity during lunch break. I did not do any searches about the celeb at all.
That evening, there were a couple of videos about him in my YouTube feed.
That's not coincidence. Not paranoia. It's deductive reasoning.
