Operation: AIRFLOW
My DubyaJay came stock with just an electric fan and a fancy PWM controller with a/c on control. After many failures of controllers, bad fan motors, melted connectors, and finally getting mad and replacing every wire with heavier gauge and soldering every connection instead of using OE slip connectors, I am looking into switching to a manual fan setup.
There are many things that can affect your cooling with a manual fan. What clutch are you using? Standard, heavy duty, severe duty? What fan? You might be able to swap to a lower slip clutch and a higher cfm fan with more blades or more cup and fix your cooling problem without having to resort to other measures.
