Why two years, and not one?

The laser work held, but there was more tearing. Come to find out, it's hereditary. My brother has been through this as well.

Spring would be a year and a half. We could do fall 2018. Spring 2018 we have a big cruise planned

RE: Operation: AIRFLOW
I personally am planning to swap from mechanical fan to electric fans. Even when pulling a trailer with my A/C on my temp will creep up while driving. I have narrowed my issue down to the fact that The truck is equipped with a body lift so the shroud and fan sit lower on the radiator than normal. I plan on either reversing the body lift and installing a suspension lift to correct this issue(along with a few other issues I have come to notice with accessories) or keep the body lift and install a smaller suspension lift to gain a few more inches of ground clearance. Either way I would rather have electric fans for the simple reason that I could wire them to a toggle switch to manually turn them on if need be. Just trying to figure out how I'm to get them to run with the A/C and with the temp as if they are factory.
Awesome!

A good, reliable fan controller can be costly. You might be better off modifying your shroud.

My DubyaJay came stock with just an electric fan and a fancy PWM controller with a/c on control. After many failures of controllers, bad fan motors, melted connectors, and finally getting mad and replacing every wire with heavier gauge and soldering every connection instead of using OE slip connectors, I am looking into switching to a manual fan setup.

There are many things that can affect your cooling with a manual fan. What clutch are you using? Standard, heavy duty, severe duty? What fan? You might be able to swap to a lower slip clutch and a higher cfm fan with more blades or more cup and fix your cooling problem without having to resort to other measures.

That' what makes no sense to me other than the body lift is affecting it. Its the stock fan and stock shroud with a Heavy Duty clutch. As long as I keep the RPMs above 1000 it has no problem keeping cool. Even with A/C going. As soon as I idle the temp starts to creep up.
