I went with this trac bar mount because it looked to be the strongest design. I was kind of disappointed after mounting it to the truck. It's strong and rigid but limits my axle up travel on the driver side. So I might swap to a longer trac bar and move the mount over to the frame. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Along with trying to get the frontend set up I'm also in the process of setting up my first 9" rear diff. The 9" doesn't have a carrier break which I thought would make it a very easy diff to set up. Learning a lot as I go I figured out the 9" has a "thick" gear and "thin" gear. I'm going from a 3.50 gear to a 5.13 and doing that I have to clearance the gear and the pinion bearing housing to get a proper back lash. Randy ring an pinions recommend grinding them. I had a little better idea. [Image: f9dea245fcc2d863d1ca52712a3c1819.jpg][Image: e7f9399189e7ace7321258936d9f435e.jpg][Image: 159d16eb292ef9af6cb542ab66e7c1ff.jpg]

I was able to get a few more things done today even tho the wind was blowing 15 to 20 at 30 degrees. Managed to get the rear of the truck jacked up only to figure out it's not enough to level with the front I'm going to have to try something different. Looking like lift springs are in my future. Maybe a larger block for temporary. I'm trying to stay away from stacking blocks again. I was able to get my tires mounted and "balanced" . Swapped drag links and cross over from my donor frontend checked my caster and came up with +6 degrees. I think I'll start with that.[Image: 85aae343e9f5325431096614b6a2b14e.jpg][Image: f0a120ed16775aedf3935f08c6460da7.jpg][Image: 68535c74438f9beb287950149b06ace2.jpg][Image: 1b195418b66438d4dbe6872bc7882864.jpg][Image: c66ecea4a4681418bffbb16897a43c8b.jpg][Image: dfa7e277fa25bf0f5cb829a83c0b0b55.jpg]

The offset on the wheels I picked worked out just right. They clear the radius arms with plenty to spare.

Things I've decided to change so far. I'm going to ditch the ttb springs and order a set of the 77 to 79 f150 9" springs. The spring rate is so high on the ttb springs. They will barely move at all. I'm going to add a f250 style dual steering stabilizer and swap the rear springs I'm trying to use for the stock ones with a 5.5" block and add-a-leaf .

I adapted the stock cross over from a tierod end to a heim joint. I bored the taper out of the factory arm then built a press fit bushing with a shoulder on it to hold the grade 8 bolt and heim. [Image: a722617e4cd4a7da036d2d0624d9047e.jpg][Image: a88e405d241337f8104680187545a75d.jpg]

The taper for the tie rod end was damaged pretty bad it looked like someone drove it for a number of years loose

Getting my drop bracket cross member fabricated up. I'm trying to build everything bolt in to make engine and transmission work easier.

I got the 9" reassembled and the old 8.8 out from under the truck. [Image: fd6a8e6b19950732d28580bf6e69911c.jpg]
I finally found a drill long enough to drill the other four frame mount hole through the superlift drop brackets.
