POWER WINDOWS!!!!

I found affordable power window regulators, so I decided to go ahead and convert it. The main reason for doing this is to make it easier to finish the ends of the dash. With cranks, I would have to leave a recessed area for part of the crank stroke.

Adding the Chevy controls was not as spiffy as adding Nissan controls would have been, but A. I already own them. B. They plug right in to the harnesses that I already have in the doors.

New aftermarket regulators were only $30 per side.

Carving the door for the Chevy controls. That is a steak knife. No toolbox should be without one. LOL

Driver side has mirror controls. The Chevy harness is already set up for power, heated mirrors, so I plan to make that upgrade soon. I have power mirrors, and a Nissan switch, but I think I will hold out for heated ones.

Oh, I failed to mention that I installed my power mirrors that I have had for seven forevers. No pics of those, though. I connected them to the Chevy harness.

I did some more work on the dash. Still trying to make this Silverado dash look like it belongs in the D21.

Fitting the heater, ac, steering, pedals, electrical, and dash has been the hardest part of this conversion. The drive line, frame and body mods were a lot of work but easier for me to figure out.

I used enamel coated aluminum to fab up a glove box bottom, and a lower dash on the passenger side. I plan to upholster this in white, to carry the white on the doors all the way across. All that gray dash plastic that you see will be white as well.

Meh, it's progress.

That's too cool. It may not be beyond my skill level, but it is definitely beyond my patience level.

Don't know how you got all that in there Mark, but kinda glad you aren't using the chain anymore, even if it did look cool.
