New project... Jeepster Commando
Picked up a new project. Anyone know much about these things? 1970 Jeepster Commando. I've been doing a little work, just got it last week and I've got a few more things to get in order but it should be ready for spring.

It's in decent condition but needs work. It does run pretty good though probably in large part to the HEI that a PO added. I bought it off a kid who may have bitten off more than he could chew with what needed to be done. He only had it for 2 months but bought it from someone in OS although he didn't recall the name. Paint job is a backyard type job with lots of runs and such but its better than rust. Probably be a while before it sees any off road as the front 2 piece driveshaft is shot to hell and back. Basic plans right now are to get the essentials work and up to date, lights, wipers, front leaf springs need to be replaced, etc. PO did a SOA lift but the front springs are really in bad shape. Other than that, pretty much stock.

Passenger side looks rough.
Post your repairs here as you go, and I will move this to Modding and Projects.

Edit: Moved to "Major Mods & Projects"

Most of what you are seeing on the passenger side is just the poor backyard paint job. The way the sun is hitting it doesn't help. It could use a blast, skim, and paint.
