Well, since its spring break I'm going to be able to get alot of work done on it while i'm out of school and football. The main things i'm going to focus on is getting the radio changed, getting all of the paint off of the interior, replace the CB and get another mount for the antenna, tune-up the motor, and order the new bumper. May even get up under the hood where the paint has worn away and prime it. Would rhino lining the entire outside of the jeep look like poo? I saw a guy with a CJ7 that did it and his looked awesome.

the radio in a TJ is simple - you can do it yourself! aftermarket harness adapter and it is as simple as hooking up a few wires

as for the rhino lining the WHOLE body - i am 50/50 on it - granted you can do colors now but it would be pretty pricey - i have done a lot of herculiner in and outsode of my heep and that stuff sticks and holds up very well - a cheaper alternative if you do it yourself... still would be 2 gallons to do 2 coats on a TJ... i have some pics of other lined vehicles... lemme see if i can find em

Well i went ahead and ordered the Intake and a Banks Catback exhaust and found my old Cobra 25LTD classic and its going in when i get back next week. Gonna go look at some head units tomorrow, i've decided to just line the inside of the jeep instead of the whole thing. I saw on "Trucks" tv show the paint job they did on the XJ project they had and it looks simple enough and only cost $70 to do.

Well i just got the jeep back from the Shop and it drives ten times better... Picture this... The guy doing transmission work on your rig calls you....

Him: Hey man, have you had work done on the transmission in the last couple of months?
Me: Yeah they did a once over in Charleston where my sister had it, they said it was good to go... Yet here it is in the shop.
Him: Well, you better call them and ask why they only put ONE bolt in the bell housing where it bolts up to the engine. After you ask that, ask them why they did put a thread locker or something on there to keep the bolt in. Be aware it was about TWO turns from coming out completely.
Me: WHAT?!?!?!
Him: Yeah, there is only one half inserted bolt holding this thing on the engine.
Me: Maybe that's why it was shuddering and the check engine light was on.
Him: Your lucky this thing didn't grind itself into a metal powder ball
Me: Wow, i've got some calls to make. Thanks

Yeah, the guy they trusted in a shop over in SC forgot to put all of the bolts accept ONE into the transmission... What was he thinking?

Got some updates and pictures. Put the CAI and exhaust on an it is night and day compared to the old setup. It has a great rumble and alot of power so it was a good buy. I went to a small mud area on Lincoln road and found a small side trail that lead to a 3' or so deep water crossing to test the CAI for its mud intaking abilities and it proved to be a lot better than i imagined since the new radiator doesn't splash any mud or water into the intake. We stayed in the deep water for a minute or so to see where the water was spraying out and it didn't seem to be putting out little if any at all and the fan was half way submerged in the water. Anyways here are the pics.

After the ride and before the wash, very little spray on the intake:

Does anyone know what this is? I'm a newb when it comes to the 4.0l motor and I can also start the Jeep without depressing the clutch, would this have anything to do with it?:

I'm looking at an RE 4.5" lift now for the summer since most of the bushings look like this:

I'm gonna be getting a B3 concepts bumper and a set of Rubicon rims and spacers next week hopefully so the search for tires will begin soon. Thanks guys.
