I made my mount in the bed. I can show it to you Wednesday because I will be out tomorrow.
Basically it is a plate with two pins that engage the holes in the base. On the other end it is a piece of plate with a 1/2" bolt welded to it. The vertical part of the jack with all the holes fits over the bolt and is held by a big 'ol wingntut. Both plates are welded to the inner bedside.

Mine is mounted on my rear swing away, i mounted mine with two half inch bolts and bolted that dude down tight, you have to have a pair of 3/4'' wrenches to get mine of, i figured if somebody was gonna steal it, they better bring tools! I also used the teflon nuts on there, so when they do steal it, they'll have to wrench the nut all the way off. No sense in making it convenient for anybody!

Ever thought about using locking lugnuts?
I've never used those before, the jeep isnt out in public that much anyways, i think sombody would have to have some large balls to steal it in broad daylight. Its also protected by smith and wesson, so im not gonna worry about it too much.
Was sitn here thinking about it, none of my redneck buddies have ever had anything stolen out of their trucks ever. I think that most theives see a truck or jeep like mine, or my friends.......they know thats some good ole boy's truck and a gun lives there.
Nice!
I have one in the Ranger, but it's not original.
[attachment=5836]It's working, but I felt a little hazy. I bought it in a 'erector-shop' so it wasn't shoddy just it wasn't original.
Now i bought a used "made in USA" in to the tlc.
Uhh what a big different in the working.
ok thanks for the idea res i checked today and its not going to fit on the push bar with out blocking the head light and it will not fit in the bed with the tool box so looking for more ideas
Here's an idea; ditch the toolbox. Bigwink
I saw one mounted on top of a toolbox one time, looked alot like the brackets that mount the hilift to the hood of a jeep. You think about that, or the rear part of the toolbox?? Im sure there is somewhere it can be mounted
Is the jack taller than your toolbox is wide?
man i wish we had 4 door diesle powerd ranger in america Angry
yea its not much taller than the box but it hangs over the side of the bed rails

cant ditch the box need the dry storage it being a single cab not much dry storage available
