I've had the parts for On Board Air for months now; got around to installing it today. Worked out well.

Now there's something I could use on the Flaming Marshmallow. Hard to believe I don't have OBA yet.

This link might give you some ideas; it did me. I used the Harbor Freight compressor.

I have a HF compressor on mine, too. Just used a pressure cycling switch I got from Jackson Air/Hydraulic...looks just like the one on my home compressor. It runs into a 2.5 gal Viair tank to give me more reserve. I originally had it set to cut off at 140 psi, but these little compressors don't like that (even though they advertise 150 psi working pressure). I've melted 2 pistons, so I'm gonna adjust my regulator down to somewhere around 85-90, and that should be alot easier on the pump.
This deserves it's own thread. OBA how-to.

You are so right. Consider it done.
Since this subject has taken on a life of it's own; here is another informational link.

i converted an a/c compressor over to oba on the mj. was pretty simple to do really. bolted the compressor on. got a filter and inline oiler to go on the suction side, then adapter and barb fitting to go on the pressure side. then mounted a tank in the bed with a guage and popoff valve. still needs a relay and pressure switch but i can run it for now just by touching the wire to the battery. the new owner will have to do the rest. I have a good A6 compressor. It has an oil sump. I wonder how that would be for an OBA compressor.
should work as long as you can get a hose on the pressure side port. if you plan on using it alot you will need to use hydraulic hose or something that can take the heat for the first couple feet leaving the compressor. regular air hose will get brittle and break due to heat if you use it alot.
