I'm looking for a program to create a wiring diagram. I would appreciate the help.
I have used AutoCAD and VISEO in the past. Viseo has a package for exactly what you want to do. No idea of the cost, because the company bought it.
I knew I could count on you. Thanks
I always just used AutoCAD. When I worked for the Engineering firm, we had blocks of commonly used electrical symbols that could just be inserted and connected with lines. Worked great, but ACAD is expensive and it takes a little while to set up your own blocks.
I use some blocks that I downloaded, but I always have to scale them when I brink them in. I fid it easiest to build a 'key' of all the components, semiconductors, terminations and jumps. From there I simply copy and drag them where I need them. Rotate as needed. When I am done, I can build an actual key, or delete that junk.

I like working in layers. It allows me to plot the wiring in the production stages that it is built in, as well as showing the complete schematic just by turning the layers on and off.

Search online. There may be a freeware that will make schematics. You never know if you don't check from time to time.

This is the way I did it, too, except my key was a block and I just exploded the block upon insertion.
Well I have AutoCAD 2004 if anyone is interested. It's fully licensed too.
