I was wondering how much usage the site gets from cell phones. I am also interested in what style phone is most popular at the moment.

I am using an HTC Hero, which uses the android operating system. For internet use, it is very, very good. The large screen on the Hero is almost usable to me without reading glasses. The touch-screen works reasonably well, considering how big my hands are. I often tap the wrong thing, but it gives you a second to try again. Alternatively, you can enlarge the screen image with the swipe of your fingers and give yourself a larger target.

I am on a Cellular South plan, which gives me the best coverage in this area, hands down. My AT&T Go phone is the suck when it comes to coverage.

With my son's LG phone, I was able to view the cell version of the site, but all that is is Archive Mode. You cannot log on with that. Not much fun.
With the Hero, I have full functionallity, including access to the site's admin control panel, and even my ftp site. I use an app called ANDftp for that.

I have the ful web site on my iPhone.

I turned chat off because it hogs too much screen. Sorry if anybody has shouted out at me.

I just cut the chat down to about 8 lines because it shows the entire archive on the cell phone. That was bit much with 50 lines. When you said the chat was a bother on the cell, I thought it was only showing the window that shows up on the PC. It is like 5 lines or so.

Try it again.

I use a Samsung BlackJack 2 (Windows Mobile 6.1 OS). I get the full version with Internet Explorer Mobile, and with Skyfire (alternate browser app). I can even play the games and access the mod section. I haven't played with the RSS feeds lately, but I used to use an RSS reader app that would just show the new posts in reverse chronological order, without all the fancy site stuff...loads alot faster, and I can look at the first few lines of each post in list format without opening each individual thread.

I use the RSS feeds in my iGoogle layout. It shows the latest threads and the first post right on my home page. Pretty sweet.

Sometimes I have to make pics in work, and the "cyber-shot" quality is great.

And i don't want to use any too costy high end modell. The dust kill all.

Do any of you have any problems with this site when using your phone other than the chat box issue? I'm not saying I can fix any problem you may experience, but I certainly cannot fix anything that I don't know about.

I have chatbox disabled for the theme that I use, anyway. No avitars, no sigs, no chatbox. Just posts.
