I just wanted to share my first project with everyone. This is ms 1986 Nissan Hardbody that my Grandfather gave me. It has 327,000 miles on it and needs a lot of attention. Plans are(right now): rebuild motor, paint, and new clutch. Future plans will be: Making it 4WD with toyota axles coil-over shocks all the way around, 35" super swamper boggers, dove-tail the bed.
By the way I am only 13 so I have a little while to get it together and Rangertoy will be helping me along the way.

Today Will and I got the engine out, it only took a couple of hours. I thought it would take longer.

the motor gave us very little resistance, surprisingly. I think we had a good, educational day
Educational? Huh

Woo hoo!!! I see a 3 year build thread starting here...
If you need a fresh alternator, don't buy one. I have a reman that I bought, but it couldn't handle the awesome e-fan, so I swapped in a GM alt.
Nothing wrong with the Nissan alt. It just sits there in it's box.

When you get to the point where you are putting the engine back in, and hooking it all up, I may be a good person to have nearby. I'd be happy to prop up on a fender and watch.

I've got manuals, if you need to borrow something in that regard.
