Hey Guys, got a few questions.
my 03 xterra failed emissions test, and also needs a new timing belt.
i get HORRIBLE gas mileage because of the underpowered v6.
I am looking at
a) buy an 06+ xterra
b) sinking more money into the 03 and keep driving it.
The 03 is almost paid for, but i have the finances to pay the note for another 3 years.
what do you guys think?
The truck needs a tuneup, new shocks...
123k miles and going...
The '03 is still a new car by my standards.

I could throw a timing belt, water pump, and a few other parts in that puppy on a Saturday and still have time to go skating in the afternoon.
It's your call, depending on what you need in a vehicle. The '03 is more easily modded for serious off-road use, but that may not matter to you.
I am going to be in San Francisco for a year and a half...
i need better MPG
Keep the X, buy yourself a good little second hand car that gets good gas economy!
nothing you do will give you better mpg, trust me, i got 200miles a tank on a good day

X3, The NewX won't get much better mileage than the old one. However, if you do buy a new one, call me before you do.

Welp....
Since i am moving to California....
i decided to get a car that gets MUCH better gas mileage than the Xterra ever will.
I bought a 2006 VW Jetta
ANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I borrowed 4 grand EXTRA to buy a Vehicle to play with :-D
Am looking at a 2001 Jeep 4x4 White in color. Manual Trans, No lift, 64k miles
guy wants 4g
im gonna look at it when i get to Cali :-D
A Jetta? the air must be awfully thin out there.

Got any pics of it? Is it like really cool, or just a fuel efficient shopping cart?
