Does anybody know where the drain plug is on the transfer case of a 2001 Ford Ranger?

There should be a fill plug and possibly a drain plug on the T-case somewhere. It is also possible that the T-case has a dampener bolted onto it. If it has the dampener, then you have to unbolt the dampener before you can access the drain and fill plugs. Doesn't say which side the dampener is located on, but it does show a pic of the dampener which appears to be a round piece on a flat plate that is held by four bolts to the T-case.

Hope that helps.

To get to the drain plug you must remove the balancer and the plate it is on by removing the four bolts in the plate.
