ok i need some info , what would be a great engine in my yota ( NO CHEVY ) its been over done . im thinkin a 3.2 dohc ford sho block , but im not sure.
i want to keep my trainy and front and rear end . advanced adapters has everything i will need .im thinking i need something with around 220hp and 250ib/ft . im going to be running 35/15.50-15 gumbo mudders i have 3" of lift now , im putting a 3" body lift on for room under the hood .

You GOT To Use A Chevy. Toyota And Chevy Just Go Together!!
Use a ford get a 302 to go in it.

i have a 85 yota with a buick v-6 and i am pretty happy with it, i ran 44's with very little trouble, its a pretty easy swap and you dont have the firewall issues like you do with a v-8 but you dont have the power, i would have liked the 4.3 but the buick v-6 is a very cheep swap because they are very easy to find, also i swaped trans and tfr case cause i had a yota auto trans so i have never messed with the adapters, i also went with a 3" body lift for room but you could get by with a 2" or possibly a 1"
I know a guy that runs 35 Boggers with the trusty old 22r. Unless you're swapping axles I'd tweak the 4 cylinder and invest in gearing.

V8 + stock toy axles = Tink POW!!!!

dont worry about a new engine thorw a supercharger on it and have fun,
