Aight so I'm saving for a new intake (+headers and new exhaust) and had some questions for yall. I was thinkin of getting rusty's cold air w/ 9" K&N filter kit with the t.body spacer. I dont plan on submurging the jeep so i figured a snorkel was unneeded (although it looks cool) but i was kinda worried about the mud on a cold air. what do ya'll think?

i have not heard of it bien a prob, however, u could fab a shield outta plastic to under the filter if u are worried about it

Not 100% on the XJ but the airbox on the KJ waay outperforms the aftermarket cold air intakes especially in any type of offroad/submersion situation. I'm sure that is a great big help.. I would def look into some type of sheild tho like DevilMutt said.
