Okay I am just curious about a couple of things. First thing is Jeepers.
I don't discriminate. Why do alot of jeepers not all but alot.
I tried to talk to this guy earlier today at wal-mart. He drove a jeep.
When He seen I drove a Pick up He didn't want to show me any trails. Had a good talk up till then. And offroad clubs that are only jeeps what gives.
I have been wheelin since I was 15 and never discrimanated against someone for driving something different. Can anybody tell why this trend of not letting others in or shutting down clubs to people who want to wheel in a truck.
another good one is marketing for good offroad equipment. Its mainly geared torwards jeeps. If drive a pickup and want something good and your not loaded to the hilt. You seem to have to fabricate YOUR own.
Which is cool if I had a place to do that. That being said. IF anybody out there with a jeep wants to go wheelin with me I would love to have you along once I find some trails.
Hell Man! i drive a Jeep, albeit a Liberty, and i get the same feeling from alot of folks. Not all, but quite a few. The Jeep family seems to be a tight one. Alot of em might figure that a long wheel base truck just might not physically be able to fit on alot of the Jeep trails. I'm pretty new to it all tho so I can't say for sure. As for the aftermarket, it's all about supply and demand. I know alot of the Liberty guys are making their own lifts (2.5" is the highest bolt on available that won't kill your CVs). i would think that there would be alot of guys out wheeling their pickups tho. Is that not the case?

lift kits aren't to hard to find. but the options for bumpers and rollbars and things like that are harder to find. I give you that maybe longer wheelbases may not be able to go some places. but that is no reason to give other wheeler's the shaft. I hope I didn't come across harsh. I was a little upset by that guy's attitude. I have been wheelin for about 14+ years on and off.
Though jeeps have there perks. I don't think I would trade my pickup for a jeep. I wouldn't mind having a jeep. But not in sacrifice of my pickup.
MY buddy in florida had a jeep cherokee. We had to fab his lift. So I understand. I was aiming more at cj and wrangler drivers. In my question.
I Give everybody a fair shot. I just think others should do the same. Where we went wheelin the most in Florida. There was all kinds of rides some better than mine some worse. There was this hill there That a jeep Wrangler couldn't make it over because of its short wheel base. So obviously jeeps aren't always better. I think thats my point. alot and I stress not all. but alot of jeepers. act like there better than everyone else. I was kind of curious if other ppl had been shunned the same way because they didn't drive a jeep.
dont feel bad. I have a cherokee, and have seen the same nose so high up in the air, that if it rains they would drownd attitude. Dont know why
So at least I'm not the only one. I would say glad to here that, but that attitude just sucks. Well In final I must say wheel in what ya got.
you got that right I guess there just arent enugh people out there with a straight up love of four wheeling jeeps do tend to do better in tight spots but dont seem to have the horse power that your avrage truck has. hell the ins co clasifies my unit as a station wagon 4drs so what do you do people are people id wheel with ya ALLterainRebel working on a spot around silver creek we will see what happens
p.s. next time just ask if there afraid to get spanked by a truck!!!!!
lmao That is so funny. Ain't like a spankin to straigten you out.
Ohhh I'm laughing so hard
ALLterrainRebel Wrote:lmao ... Ohhh I'm laughing so hard
That's the best way to deal with those hoity toity Jeep nazis. Laugh it off cause you probly wouldn't want to wheel with em any way.
Allterainrebel, I Understand Ur Point, I Have Had Several Trucks In The Past .my Wife Drives A Tahoe, But I Drive A Wrangler, All I Can Say About Jeep Owners, Is That It's A Life Style. Were All A Little Crazy! Who Else Would Drive Around In Feb. And March With No Top On Their Rig. I've Been Mud Riding With The Top Down, real Mess! I Hope You Can Make It To The Trail Clean Up/play Day At My Place, That Way U Can See That All Jeep Owners Dont Dislike Trucks.
I think some jeepers have a higher than thou attitude, but I think you can find it with anyone. Assholes drive Fords, Jeeps, Toyotas, Dodges, and Chevys. It depends on the person and just their personal attitude. As long as you wheel and have a good time people need to chill...NO ONE is better than another, soemtimes they think that because their rig is built better that they can wheel better, but EVERYONE will break or get stuck at LEAST once, and who knows, they may need you who is there to pull them out. I say, kill the a-holes with kindness if you around them, otherwise, wheel with folks who appreciate you and your rig
