Id like to go wheeling b/w christmas and new years, either Hot Springs or Tellico. Anyone else want to go? It doesnt matter which place, Ive never been to Hot Springs and I havent been to Tellico in over 2 years and I love it there. Hot Springs might not be as cold that time of year though.

Christmas falls on a monday this year, which means Ill be taking that week off and I will have the following monday off since its New Years Day.

What do yall think about leaving on the 26 (tues) and coming back on the weekend (30 or 31)? Thatll give us 3 or 4 whole days of trail riding.

Heres info on Hot Springs:

And info on Tellico:

telico sounds good to me. if were only going for a week then thats cool. ive never been there before how hard are the trails rated at a 3.
tellico is a lot of fun, they have some easy trails, moderate trails, and hardcore trails. at tellico, you have to pick which trails you are going to run for the day before you leave camp. its not like you can just jump from one trail to another like at gray rock. the trails are a lot longer and have obstacles along the way (not the whole time). a lot of the trails have bypasses though. here is a map:

Trail 1 is nothing but a gravel access road, but the rest of the trails are wooded and the scenery is awesome. there are 2 river crossings, one on 4 at Fain's Ford and the other on 5. They are not difficult to cross though, I did it in my jeep when i had a 2" lift and 32s a few years back. The hardest trails are 11 (it has bypasses, but they are still challenging, but fun), 12 which they call schoolbus b/c the walls are huge and shaped like a schoolbus, 9 which does not have a bypass but is fun to go to to watch guys go up it, and then the rock garden at 2 is very difficult.

like i said, my first time there i had a 2" lift and 32s and i had a blast. the camping there is gorgeous and they have nice facilities. this is where i usually stay:

yeah i looked at that but how hard would the f3 trails be. is that like between a 2 and 3 at gray rock. i think i can run them if so.
yes, you can run F3s, and some F4s if you take the bypasses, just not trail 9 since there isnt one. oh, and trail 3 was atv only last time i was there
dont think i can afford that wish i could though

Thinking real hard, but not sure if we will have anything ready to go by then. I have a camper we can take and stay in but not sure how I would get the 4x4 up there.
