and did you get another driveshaft? or are you putting the slip yoke on the 2 piece driveshaft?

WhinoCaballo

I'm putting on the slip yoke. now i need to fab a portable press for the under side or press them on with the t-case out. I'm going to find another t-case with a slip yoke so that i won't have to disassemble the u joints again. anbody want to trade a 208 for another with a slip yoke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Bulb

WhinoCaballo

I'll post some pics of a fabricated mini press and use it on the install later when it starts to dry up a bit.

WhinoCaballo

never made a mini press. i tried using a ball joint press it didn't work too bad. just alot faster with a hammer and an old socket. I'll post some pics tomorrow. over all i had to get a new shaft made for the rear. even after i had compressed more that it should have been it was still too long.
So does this mean that you got your t-case swapped out?

WhinoCaballo

Yea the swap was pretty simple a direct fit. but nothing else seemed to want to work.

WhinoCaballo

sorry no pics were taken though. i'll take some of the new shaft and the old on next to eachother
