I get kind of ticked off when I go and buy a good camera, spend several hundred dollars for it and they set you up with crappy introductory editing software. It seems that any camera I've bought, the level of the software that comes with it is pretty much crap. They want you to have to upgrade to another level to get something decent. If I'm going to "upgrade" it won't be with the same company just because I refuse to give in to their marketing techniques. I'll just buy another brand of software. What do you guys use and if you like it....why?
Open for recommendations. And thanks.

1300.00? This is for home movies, not for Hollywood productions. That is too rich for my blood. For that amount, I should be able to tell it to shoot the vids for me too.
BTW, aparke4... I got those grab handles cleaned up and installed. They work and look great. I moved my sound bar back about an inch, which left bare roll cage exposed, just enough to install the handles. They add a splash of color to the back of the Jeep. Thanks for supplying them.
Great! i am glad to have helped u out! oh and i guess i forgot to say it is an expensive program... i got a copy through school and have access to it at school so i literally payed pennies for the liscence(except for tuition!)

Just crank out one quick porn movie and it will pay for itself.

iMovie... its comes on all Mac's. Works great. For pics, I use iPhoto (again, free)... for music, you guessed it, iTunes... :laughs at windows:

Windows Movie Maker works well and is free. For photos, GIMP is free and has all the power of PhotoShop. For music, Amazon.com offers DRM free files in a free format of mp3 vs acc that iTunes locks you into.
My biggest problem seems to be that no matter what I've used, my computer doesn't seem to recognize my camera. What could be the cause of this?
