personally i would stay away from off brand chinese made winches like that. they are really friggin slow and made of cheap crappy parts. you'd be better off to save some money and buy a quality winch later or buy a good used one.
12k pounds huh.... is that gonna be big enough?

I tend to agree with Mr. Neck about buying a brand name if possible. I also have been pulling myself and others out for a year and a half with a $300 8K Harbor Freight (Mile Marker) winch. Sure, it is slow. Just remember that when you are hopelessly stuck, miles from home, ANY movement is a good thing.
I say, if that is all you will be able to afford for quite a while, get it. If you can wait a bit and put some more money into a winch, you will have something that should last for years. A good winch can be moved from vehicle to vehicle through the years.
You can ALWAYS sell a used winch. Even a cheap one. So, upgrading in a year or two (when you are tired of the slowness of the cheap one) won't be so bad.
My decision was based on available funds and the fact that it is a safety item for me. I regularly go into the forest with the boys and we have to be able to get out of a jam.

DITTO
I appreciate the info. I was either going to get this one, or the Mile Marker 12000lb. I guess that makes up my mind. I will get the Mile Marker. I wish I could afford the Warn, but just cost to much. The only reasons I was considering the Gorrilla, was for the price, and the fact that it is waterproof. I guess I could waterproof the mile marker.
there's a warn 8274 on caos4x4 for $350.00
prolly to small for the burb though, and i was wrong it's $425.00
I have had that size winch pull me out many times, but I really want a 12000lb.
