After finally adding a trailer hitch to the back of my Frontier, I wanted to make sure I didn't rip the wire harness/plug out from under the bumper like so many other Frontiers I have read about.
I wanted to go through the bumper rather than under the bottom. So, after wearing out the teeth on two 2 1/8" dia hole saws, I drilled many small holes around the 2 1/8" dia until I could knock the center out, then a rounded the edges up with a round file. I bought the factory Frontier 7 Pin harnesses and relay jumper, took the plug apart, cut a few tabs off the back side of the mount, fished it through the hole, and reassembled it from the back side.
Sorry, no pics during the process, but here is the finished product.
