ok, i will try to ask all my questions in one thread this time Mushy

- i want to put new fluids in the front/rear diffs, what weight diff fluids do you use/recommend? what are the capacities for the front and rear? i have what appears to be a small slow leak around the bottom that i'm hoping some fresh silicone around the cover will cure

- what do you gap your sparkplugs to? i saw .035 was stock, you all use that?

- what can i use on the undercarriage to clean it since i dont have a pressure washer?

- i am missing a piece to the air intake in the very front. Its just a large open hole going into the air filter box.... what piece am i missing, and how important do you think it is (i.e. i should replace it asap?)

i just finished an oil change on it, and it gave me fits. If i can find the previous owner, I will try my hardest to end his reproducing with a swift kick in the nuts for using 1500 ft. lbs of torque on the oil filter. I ended up having to drive a flat head screwdriver through the filter to get a little more leverage to break it loose Ranting

i think thats all for right now Cheers1
On the diffs, fill them until it comes out of the fill hole.
Some vehicles just like to keep their oil filters on. My wife's Altima does it. I am the only one that has ever changed the oil in that thing. I put the filter on by hand every time, not even with a wrench. But I have to use the screwdriver method of removal every time!! I've tried six or seven different filter brands, some with seals, flat gaskets, o-rings, all to no avail. I just go ahead and bring the 2-fister under the car with me each time, now.No2
check the owners manual for recomended fluids but i would say that a 90 weight would be fine in the diffs. as far as spark plugs .035 would be fine that pretty much your best bet if your not sure how to set them or you can spend the extra money and get the pre gaped plugs.
as far as the hole in the air box, silicone a piece of plastic over it......asked twisted bout that.......lol
ya that works i like syn gear lube for the diffs
cool... thanks for the help

spark plugs made a significant difference.... the ones in it were in bad need of replacing!
take to a car wash to get cleanSmile
fill your differentials until oil comes out the hole you are pulling it in, different manufacturers reccomend different types of fluids. look in your owners manual.
