you should be able to get dsl there. i'm pretty sure its available everywhere in ms now.

Have you checked with bellsouth? I use their DSL at home. It is way better than dial up. Check with Verizon from time to time. They keep adding service areas. You may get lucky.

I'd be surprized because a DSL line is only good up to 1350 feet from the block. They would have to put them everywhere haha. I know 8 years ago Bell made the claim they would have DSL in everyhouse in MS but I have yet to see it.
The nearest thing that i would call a "block" is a 1/2 mile down the road from me. They must have improved their methods.
When I click on a video on YouTube and such, it starts playing right away and rarely glitches. We have a wireless setup at the house and my PC is the farthest from the transmitter and gets a weak signal, yet still whoops dial up.
I live in Bentonia, which is as small as a town can get, and I have dsl through AT&T. It is fast, and I have the slowest that they offer, only $19.99/mo. If I can get that here, u should be able to get it where you're at.
