I have a '85 K-5 Blazer. The rods inside the door that open it from the inside handle keep coming out of the holes. I take the panel off and put them back in but they keep popping out after I close the door a few times. I thought about JB Weldin' them, but not sure if that'll work. Any suggestions???
Zip Ties!!!
weld a small bead on it.
Could I weld it still in the door or would I have to take it off?
Might try the zip ties, if that don't work guess I'll weld it
there should be a plastic keeper that holds it in the hole that also acts as a bushing your gm dealer can get em

x2 should be about $2
I had the same trouble on the lock rods on my father's 92 c1500. I replaced the plastic keepers, and it still happened. apparently the rods had worn down enough that they wouldn't stay in the keepers. Fixed it with a zip tie 2 years ago, and it is still working fine!!!

x3 They may be available at your local auto parts store. Zip ties will work, but it is rather tricky to rig, especially in tight places.
Do yourself a favor; once the inner door panel is off, line the edge of the opening with duct tape to prevent shredding your arm.
