I'm in the market for some new rubber for the Jeep. I'm thinking about 33s in maybe, the Pro Comp Extreme or M/T Baja Claw or maybe the BFG MT. Suggestions on tires and where would be the best place to get a good deal on a set??
Most of the time is on the street, but I want the mud gripper aspect plus the cosmetic affect of a good looking tire.
I have 32s on it now, so I don't think 33s will make much difference as far as clearance goes.
IMO them pro comp's are junk. I ran one set of them and didn't like'em at all. It all depends on what brand you.

Best deal will be on the internet hands down, shops around here just can not even come close (and most don't even care to try.) The question is do you want to take the time to get them mounted etc... Most good shops will charge you $12-$16 a tire.

Best deal on the M/T claws will be found at Jordan Tire 1-866-492-1511 (internet)

I just bought the mud grapplers from discounttire.com and would buy from them again. Save over $600 on them.
Pro Comps are good for rocks but I hated them in the mud. As most of you know I LOVE Boggers but the honest truth is, they really only work well in one terrain. I have since been VERY pleased with the Baja Claws on Angela's Jeep. They do great on the street, great in the mud when aired down and the do well on the Rocks.
The reason I was looking at the Pro Comp Xtreme was the tire guide in one of the 4 wheel drive magazines I take. The gave 3 out of 4 stars in all categories for that tire. It was good on rocks, mud, street, and whatever that other category was. (maybe snow)
I love th look of the boggers but I don't believe they would last very long on the street, they way mine is run. Who else has something to say about the PC Xtreme?
The M/T BajaClaw looks just like the PC Xtreme. Probably made in the same factory.
i can talk to my guy here and see what his price is just post up what you decide to run
yea boggers suck on the street. The Pro Comps did great on the rocks I just didn't like how the slicked over in mud. Still a good tire though!

How about checking on the Mickey T's, the ProComp, and the BFG mud terrain? In the 33 12.50 15 size. Thanks, Adam.
you bet
does bfg have the new km2's out in 33-12.50 yet? those are some pretty sweet tires.
I have a buddy that runs M-T baja claws and loves them. They clean out great in the wet stuff, and pull you through some sloppy goo. They ride well on the street, but are a pretty soft compound, so don't expect more than about 20 or 25k miles out of them. Really good on rocks, especially if you rotate your wheels and run the directional tread backwards. The pro-comps are great on rocks, but like Chris said, they slick over in mud pretty bad. They are, however, a much better long lasting street tire, and give excellent wet pavement traction, due to alot more siping than the M-T's. Never heard any complaints about BFG M/T's, I just personally think they don't have large enough voids to be a really competitive mud terrain.
