You gona be able to help Josh with my lift this week? Josh said maybe Wednesday? I figure between the 2 of you, it wouldn't take long. I ordered cam bolts from O'Reilly today. Maybe they'll be here so I can get aligned this weekend.
I can take apart the front end of a 2nd gen D40 in no time! I'm guessing 3 hours tops for the whole lift. I'll try to go up there Wed. afternoon if that will work.
That is fine with me. I'll leave it at home.

My header was leaking at the collector. Not out the sie, but between the four tubes where they come together. Ranting

I removed the header, welded a few other small cracks here and there, then sawed the collector off just behind the tubes.

As I suspected, the "star" that covers the opening in the middle of where the tubes come together, had rusted. Some of the tube had rusted away, also.

A die grinder and burr made quick work of prepping the rusted areas. I shoved a new piece of steel in the middle and welded it all up. I went on to weld the tubes to the inside of the collector, since the opportunity had availed itself.

The truck is back together and it is back to normal. (Read: Sounds like crap) It is raining pretty steadily, now. It looks like Fay will keep me from fixing the other stuff that I had planned. One day I will have a shop. Smile

Well can't really say that I did anything for the bronc, but I did build a work bench for working on stuff for the bronc. Does that count ?!Eyebrow
