Didn't know it would be that dirty but then I have had the Jeep over 4 years and never removed it. That's probably the first time it's been off by anyone. It's got a very smooth idle and quick response now.

Bought my Jeep new March 20, 1998. Have never pulled mine off. Might need to see if it needs cleaning.
Mike, You'd probably be surprised at the "ring around the collar".
Probably a 40HP increase there, Kris. Possibly more.

Good thing he got new grip to help control it.
Yeah after doing the math its about the same increase you would get out of a good turbo....lol
Had a headlight go out on Friday so I replaced both headlight bulbs and while I was at it I did a quick inspection and found a marker light that was out as well. Replaced that bulb too and now I'm ready for a real inspection (looked at my sticker and I'm 9 months overdue). Eek
Both my beaters were over a year out last month. Eek
Replaced a sticking caliper on the front D44. Auto Zone lifetime warrantee came in handy. Big Grin

Corrected the length of my steering shaft assembly, and replaced the rag joint. It was a little botched up after the SAS. It is 100%, now.
I was having trouble with my MTR tires; they just wouldn't balance well. Had a shop put them on a Roadforce machine and they told me a couple of the tires had excessive runout. So I called Discount Tire Direct and no muss no fuss they are replacing them. Matter of fact the tires they are replacing them with (KM2s) are $50 more a tire and they are doing it at no cost to me. Great customer service; next time you need tires might want to check them out.

So anyway broke down the beadlocks and pulled the tires off them and got them shipped out today so the Jeep is back on 32s until the new tires get here next week.
