Well the last 2 days I have done some replacing parts on the jeep. Yesterday I replace the Thermostat with a 160*, and replaced the water pump. Today I replaced the Temperature gague. All in all I have spent about $110ish but it was things that needed to be replaced (maybe not the water pump), next replacement should be the radiator.
Well, 4 Wheel Parts called Saturday and told me that KM2's are on factory backorder from BFG...they said they have about 300 sets of tires coming in on the 8th of January. So mine should be here around the 14th. In the meantime, I decided to put on my TSL's so I could drive around a little. Put them on Sunday afternoon:

Well, all was good, until I turned the wheel backing out of the driveway. The extra lift shifted the front axle backward just enough to get the side biters to rub the very bottom corner of the flares. I decided to adjust the stock LCA's as far forward as I could to try and remedy the situation. After a bunch of cussin', one black fingernail, two broken bolts, one bolt destroyed beyond re-use, and one trip to the parts house...I got everything back together and semi-driveable around 9pm. So much for just swapping tires in about 30 minutes!! I think I need to buy some adjustable LCA's. I've also decided that I'm gonna sell the TSL's and the wheels they're on whenever my KM2's get here. Just not gonna need two sets of mud tires, and I don't really like the lack of clearance I have with my mild lift and uncut fenders that comes with the offset on the wheels. So, what did I do for my truck today? I didn't sell it after it really ticked me off.Sneaky2 Oh, and I did put a spare tire on it, and relocate my front brake hoses (they were my limiting straps before).
well i didnt physically do anything to mine today but at 7:30 tonight i got my vinyl flooring in for the xj. if that counts for anything.
tore my rear end apart putting new bearings in and to my amaze the little bolt that holds the spider gears and the c clips didn't break will finish it tomorrow
I installed my front & rear aussie lockers that my wife got me for Christmas (not really - mudslinger83 installed 'em - I was the tool fetch). The TJ is locked!! Also, finished installing a couple auxilliary backup lights.

Built my own xfer case lowering kit today and installed it. Got a length of 1" square tubing from The Home Depot (4 ft for $10), along with 4-M10x1.5x50mm bolts and washers. Did all the work with a 3" air cutoff tool and my 18v cordless drill. I cut the tubing at a 60 degree angle on the ends to help sliding over rocks, stumps, nissans, etc. Primed them and painted them black. Here's the finished product:

In retrospect, I should've used 1x2 or 1x3 tubing to cover the sharp corners of the crossmember, but Home Depot doesn't carry that anyway.
Looks good. That is better than the store bought spacers any day, although you did buy them at a store!

Yeah, the tubing drop kits from Skyjacker and others were $40, and they had square ends. I've got $15 in these, and I've got enough steel left over to make another set.

Another set u say???? Hmmmm. We might be able to work something out.
