That is why I gave up on the idea to create my own brew. I was afraid it would become such an epidemic for so many people that I would have lots of money invested in and not be able to find oil or the suppliers would start charging too much to justify the price of the equipment.

Now, for what have I done to my uhm.... Jeep. I added a new set of rock lights to the front, facing outward. Got a set of aluminum A/C control knobs installed to replace the crappy plastic junk that came on it.
I also have a new steering stabilizer waiting for me at home when I get back home from my mission trip here in L.A.

While loading for winter camp, I realized that I had no practical way of hauling the tent poles that I use for my huge tarp canopy. I dug around in my junk pile and found a complete van roof rack.

I scrubbed it up with a Brillo pad an cut the crossbar shorter. Mounted it with some stainless hardware that I had been saving for a special occasion and voila'!

I now have a place to lash light weight items that are too long or too bulky to earn a place inside. This will be an ideal place to lash empty plastic fuel and water containers on the longer expeditions. That will free up a ton of space in the bed.

It added almost no weight at all and is plenty strong, because the cap itself will not support any real weight.

I meant to take a couple of pics, but wound up making a short video clip.
